Surveillance State

The Mirror contains a record all human activity, made available to law enforcement in an effort to protect against terrorist threats, hostile states, to control immigration, and monitor intelligent machines. Those from large metropolises have come to accept the Mirror as a necessary intrusion while criminals take every opportunity to undermine it and Naturalists loath the intrusion of their privacy. For this reason there is a disproportionate amount of organized crime in rural areas.
